The xenon lamp does not light up, and the lamp power supply is reporting an error? Is it a xenon lamp failure or a lamp power supply problem or a trigger failure? This time we mainly investigate the reasons why the xenon lamp does not light up and share some experiences with you.
The following picture is about some errors of xenon lamp and lamp power supply,
1. When the projector reports errors 5640, 5641, 5642, 5643, 5644:
Unplug and plug the connection line between “CTLB OUT“, ”CTLB IN“, ”ADDRESS“ on the lamp power supply. When plugging or unplugging these cables, the projector must be turned off and not powered on. Do not turn on and power on the projector.
Start the projector, check whether the error is eliminated, if not, replace the lamp power supply.
2. The DP2K-32B\DP4K-32B model is used. If a lamp power supply reports an error, the actual power of the xenon lamp can be temporarily reduced for lighting. The lamp power supply that reports the error should be replaced as soon as possible.
3. When the projector reports error 5646. (Figure 3)
a、Pay attention to whether it is two consecutive light-on or light-off operations, this operation will cause this fault to be reported.
b、Observe the status of the power LED indicator and whether the trigger sounds.
4、What do the LED indicators on the power panel of the lamp represent, and each power supply has 8 LED status indicators, four oranges, three greens, and one red. (Figure 4)
a、LAMP ON：The LED indicator lights green when the xenon lamp is on, and it is off when the xenon lamp is not on.
b、LVPS OK：Main power> 200VAC and the internal low-voltage power supply is normal when it lights up yellow
c、LPS OK：The light power is turned on and working normally, the green light is on
d、PFC OK：The power factor correction is working normally and the green light is on
e、ERR：The error indicator light, if a power failure of the light is detected, it will light up in red or flash.
f、STATUS：3 indicator lights, from right to left, LPS HEARTBEAT, LPS INTERNAL USE ONLY, LPS TRANS

1、When LAMP ON and ERR are OFF and the others are ON, it means that the LPS lamp power supply is working normally and the xenon lamp is not lit. When this happens, the xenon lamp or trigger may be malfunctioning.
a、Carry out the operation of triggering the xenon lamp, and listen to whether the trigger has a tick trigger sound. If there is no trigger sound, the trigger failure is more likely.
b、A multimeter can be used to measure whether the DC voltage at the moment of lighting up to 140V at the LAMP OUT location. If it does not, the lamp power supply fails, otherwise, the trigger or xenon lamp. c. Replace the xenon lamp, or exchange the light box with other equipment of the same model in other halls.
